The ring that started it all . . .(ignore my wrinkly hands....it was like 10 below outside when I took the picture!)

Hair Brooch - Something Old

The brooch was my maternal grandmothers.

Jewelry - Something New

Still trying to figure out what I want to wear.  I stopped into the bridal store with my dress and tried on several different styles and nothing seemed to go right.  I will be ordering the below necklace from Evesaddiction and see if that will work.....

UPDATE:  Got the necklace and earrings from evesaddiction and they look great with the dress!  So glad this search is FINALLY over!

Something Borrowed

Don't have anything yet.  If you want to borrow me something, that would be FANTASTIC :)
Paragraph.

Ring - Something Blue

My "Something Blue"  We got it at Kohls and it was an AWESOME deal!  Retails for $350, purchased for $89

Hair

So...I can't make up my mind.  I'm thinking of wearing it down for the ceremony and then converting it to an updo for the reception.  My regular stylist said she would come to me and do my hair for FREE for the wedding.  So excited so see how it turns out.  All pictures are from this website:  http://web.mac.com/stylesonb/StylesOnB2/Styles2.html

Update:  My hair will be on of the versions below.  I will be wearing my grandma's brooch as pictured in the "Something Old" on this page.

Make-up

I am in LOVE with Evangeline Lily's look.

BRIDAL SHOES

I originally bought flip-flops (like the ones pictured) to wear for the entire day but then my mom wisely commented:  "You don't want to hear 'flip' 'flop' down the aisle do you?"  So I went in search of some different shoes and found the Skechers.  I absolutely LOVE them!  They are very comfortable (except for a little rubbing on the heel) and are almost like tennis shoes.  If my feet get tired of the Skechers, I'll switch to the flip flops.  I'm so glad this search is over!

UPDATE

My mom was on the hunt with me for the perfect shoe...and we finally found it!!  I took the Skechers back to the store (saved me about $45)!  Yay for Mommies!

BRIDESMAID'S DRESSES

We have finally went dress shopping (4/2/09) and the girls both liked the same dress!!  It is Alfred Angelo style #6493.  I will be buying the dresses for them and will likely order from Pearl's Place as it is the cheapest I've found.  My Matron of Honor, Tiff is on the left, and my bridesmaid, Leanne is on the right.  The dress will be the color in the middle.

UPDATE:  The dresses came in the middle of June and the girls picked them up in July.  They LOVE the color I choose.  YIPPEE!!

GROOMSMEN

The assortment of mix n match colors we have to choose from . . .

Groom

I have no idea what to do, but it will probably something like this.  The vest is supposed to be "diamond white" in the picture.

THE FINAL DECISION . . . .

I got my dress around July 2008.  I was picking up my bridesmaid's dress for my best friend's wedding and they had a 50% sale going on and I couldn't pass up the deal.  I tried on several dresses and this one screamed "BUY ME" and that is exactly what I did.  The dress is Alfred Angelo, Style No.:  1807

Me in the Dress

Close-up shots so far as I'm trying to figure out my jewelry.  The dress is unaltered as of yet since I have quite a bit of time but as you can see it fits almost perfectly!

Bustle Options

I've only found one other person with the same dress and really like how she bustled it.  It is knottie lnl71908.

The dress during my first and second fitting.  I had a hard time choosing a bustle.  Nothing seemed to flow just right so I decided on doing an underbustle.  I think it looks great!  Not so thrilled with how dirty the dress will get but....I had to compromise somewhere!

Lariat Necklace with Back Dangle

I really like this idea for a necklace and was initially going to have someone make it for me but after much thought and indecisiveness, I will attempt to make one on my own.  Hopefully it turns out how I have it pictured in my head.

The photo below is courtesy of Knottie demafia and the ones to the right are courtesy of L&R70707.

Update:  I decided not to do this since I will be wearing my hair down.  Still love this idea though!
